Your feet undergo a lot of stress on a daily basis. Since you’ll want to be able to walk around in open toe shoes or other shoes that may expose part of your feet, you’ll want to keep them beautiful and healthy.
Tip 1. Stretch your feet daily to help keep them relaxed, and to avoid getting cramps. This will make your feet feel and look better, and it will also loosen your calf muscles, so that you won’t have uncomfortable tightness in your heels and feet.
Tip 2. Take time to soak your feet in essential oils. Use warm but not overly hot water, and this can even help your overall level of calmness. Essential oils have different qualities for example to calm, relax or uplift so you can feel pampered as well as relaxed when you soak your feet in salts or oils.
Tip 3. Don’t wear tight shoes. Even if you feel that squeezing into small shoes makes your feet more appealing, this doesn’t do your feet any favors. It may actually cause your feet to swell up, so that you have trouble walking. Have a professional measure your feet, and wear shoes that are the proper size. There are so many styles out there today, it’s easy to find one right for you.
Tip 4. When you’re at home, take off your shoes and let your feet have some air. You can walk around just as comfortably barefoot, or with comfortable slippers on, if you prefer. This will allow your feet to relax, just as you can, at the same time.
Tip 5. Pamper yourself with a pedicure and a foot massage. Be sure that you select someone who works on your feet gently, or your feet won’t feel pampered at all. A foot massage should be slow and soothing, and should not hurt your feet.
Tip 6. Limit the number of times you wear hose and wear socks instead, whenever you can. Socks have more bulk to them, but they allow your feet to breathe more easily. Socks give your foot more cushioning when you walk, too, and they protect your feet in this way.
Tip 7. Have someone paint your toenails with nail vanish that does not contain phthalates (this is best for women only, guys). If you add some style to your toenails, peoples eyes will be drawn to them, rather than the rest of your foot, if you have any foot issues going on.
Tip 8. Put some nice warm water in a tub, and add organic lemon juice. Slide your feet in and keep them immersed for ten minutes or so. You can also add an organic lotion to the lemon juice, and rub your feet with this before you let your feet soak. Your feet will absorb this mixture, and then you can clean them off with warm – not hot – water.
Tip 9. Take time to massage your feet with natural coconut, olive or almond oil, especially for those with dry feet. This will help to soften feet and encourage proper blood circulation, and your feet will be healthy for it.
Tip 10. Watch your diet and eat foods rich in minerals, Omega 3 fatty acids, vitamins and calcium. Also include leafy green vegetables in your diet. Leave out coffee, tea and carbonated drinks. Eat cereals and salads. All of these foods will give your feet the minerals and vitamins they need to stay healthy and beautiful.
