How to Be Active and Healthy During The Winter Time

Cold, wet, drafts are not our best friends, but it’s not the reason to be upset or even hate the weather outside. There are lots of good things about winter:

The first one – and the most exciting are the Christmas and New Year Holidays, with all these jingle bells, garlands, Christmas tree, Santa and of course gifts.
The second one – another St. Valentine’s Day, the day of love and the most romantic day in whole year. It brings love in each heart and gifts in each hand. Be my Valentine and I’ll be yours, it’s so charming. Chocolate candies, red hearts and kisses everywhere.
The third one – if you still don’t like winter, this quite still season, when nature is slipping before the new life will start. We also feel very slippy, but it’s OK, because it’s time for relaxing.
For me the most interesting it’s winter games and sports: skying, skating, snowboarding, snow fighting and of course winter Olympic games.

So lots of things of why to love this cold season, but also we have to take care of ourselves and our family during these cold long days. And these several useful tips, which help me not to get cold and be active and healthy every winter and spring.

First of all it’s warm clothing, be sure that you dress up according to weather. It’s better to be in hot, than get cold. Especially be sure, that your chest, back and feet are warm. For this reason I recommend natural soft and warm Mohair sweaters (they protect you from cold and also they are very good looking and cozy) and woolen socks.
Eat more raw fruits and vegetables like: oranges, apples, lemons, pears, carrots, cabbages and also try to eat more onion and garlic. All these fruits and vegetables are natural sources of vitamins and minerals, you can’t get them from all these artificial pills and drinks, only natural food is safe and useful for us.
Try to be active, especially at cold time, do physical exercises, gymnastics, yoga. Go for a walk, fresh air is a great source of oxygen and good spirits. Skis and skates are our best friends. Also don’t forget about swimming pool, it’s very good for your back and neck health and helps to be in tone.
Use masks and creams to care for your skin. It’s better to use rich creams with different oils and vitamins. Spread a cream on your skin and let it to be absorbed by skin, so it takes about 15 – 20 minutes before you can go outside. If you let it much less time cream can’t be absorbed fully, and can damage the skin cells, it happened because any cream contains water and it’ll become frozen at the cold and tear the cells.

All these tips are very easy, but it’s easy to say and hard to follow. So be strong and take care of yourself and all members of your family, especially of children, they need more love and care. Follow the instructions and be active and healthy these winter days!
